Privacy Policy

Overview

We try to collect as little as we can. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, how long we keep it, and how you can ask us to delete it. It covers the CheapVids website and API.

What we collect

  • Account. Your Google account identifier and your email address, and your name and profile picture as Google provides them. We use Google to sign you in and we never see your Google password. Your name and picture are stored in our sign-in service and are used only to show your profile. We also keep the time you last used the service, the version of the Terms you accepted and when, and which invitation code you used if you joined with one.
  • What you create. Your prompts, the images you upload, the settings you choose, the results (images and videos), and the status history of each job.
  • Plans and balance. Your plans, periods, credits and USD balance, the history of changes to them, and the notices we show you in the app.
  • Payments. Your invoices, the deposit address we assigned to each invoice, and the sending address and transaction ID of each payment. Blockchain transactions are public by nature.
  • API and webhooks. A hash of each API key (never the key itself), the webhook addresses you register (their signing secrets are stored encrypted), and records of webhook deliveries.
  • Abuse prevention. Your IP address and a device identifier from a cookie, stored only as one-way hashes that cannot be read back. We also keep records of violations, such as blocked prompts, and of content reports.
  • Reports. What you write in a report and any contact detail you choose to give. A report is stored with a one-way hash in place of your identity.
  • Technical data. Logs that our servers and network provider keep to run and protect the service, and session records kept by our sign-in service, which can include your IP address and browser details. We also keep audit records of the actions our staff take on accounts and payments.

Why we use it

We use your data to run the service: to sign you in, create what you ask for, process payments and manage your plans. We use it to keep the service safe: to prevent abuse, enforce the Acceptable Use Policy, handle reports and fix technical problems. We keep payment and balance records because we need them to check that our accounts add up.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information when the law requires it, or to protect the service from abuse.

Who helps us process it

  • Google signs you in.
  • Cloudflare protects and delivers our network traffic, runs the Turnstile check on some forms, stores result and upload files, and relays webhooks to your servers. Traffic to our site passes through Cloudflare.
  • AI providers are third parties. They receive your prompts and input images to create what you ask for, and they may keep them and the results for a short time under their own rules. We do not control this, so please do not send us anything you do not want to share with them.
  • A language model provider receives the text of your prompt if you use the optional prompt improvement tool, to rewrite it.
  • Our server hosting provider hosts our servers and databases.
  • Backup storage providers keep our encrypted database backups.
  • Internal alert tools, such as a messaging app, receive limited operational details like an account or invoice identifier. They do not receive your prompts.

How long we keep it

  • Web results. Kept for the retention time, 24 hours by default, and then deleted from CheapVids systems. The deletion time is shown on each result, so please download right away. The input images attached to a job are deleted together with its result. If a job did not finish, its input images are removed by automatic storage rules within 31 days at most.
  • API results. CheapVids does not store the file. We keep an encrypted link to the result for 24 hours by default, so that our download link can work, and then we delete that link.
  • API input images. Deleted when the job ends. If that deletion fails, an automatic cleanup removes them within 2 days at most.
  • Uploads. Images you uploaded but did not use are deleted automatically within 2 days at most.
  • Prompts. Kept in the record of your job for 30 days by default, and then removed from it. The rest of the job record stays, without the prompt text, because it explains your credit history. Prompts of jobs connected to a content report or a violation may be kept for up to 180 days as evidence.
  • Abuse-prevention hashes. Kept for up to 180 days.
  • Report text and contact details. Removed 180 days after the report is resolved. The record of the report itself, such as its reason and status, stays.
  • Payment and balance records. Kept as long as we need them to check our accounts and to settle disputes.
  • Backups. We keep database backups for 14 days, so data we have deleted can remain in a backup until it expires.

Technical logs

Our network provider (Cloudflare) and our servers keep technical logs for a short time, and these logs can include your IP address. Apart from those logs and the session records of our sign-in service, we store IP addresses only as hashes, plus short-lived counters (minutes to a few hours) that we use to limit the rate of requests.

Cookies

We use only the cookies we need to run the site: your sign-in session, your language choice, a random device identifier that we use against abuse, and the invitation code if you joined with one. Cloudflare Turnstile may also set its own technical data. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete your account data, and to tell you what we hold about you. Send your request through Telegram: t.me/CheapVids_Com and include proof that the account is yours, such as the email address of your Google account. We handle requests within 30 days.

When we delete your account data, we close the account, delete your sign-in identity, replace your email address and name with anonymous values, and delete your prompts, stored results, API keys and webhooks. We keep payment, invoice, balance and blockchain transaction records in anonymised form, and records of violations and reports, because we need them to check our accounts and to protect the service. Copies in backups disappear when the backups expire. Copies held by third-party AI providers are outside our control.

If the law gives you more rights, such as access or correction, you can use the same channel and we will do what the law requires.

Age

CheapVids is not for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a minor has an account, please tell us and we will close it.
